The Pench Jungle

 The Pench Jungle adventure seems to be incomplete without awe-inspiring wildlife safari in Pench National Park. Sighting of animals and birds in their natural habitat is an unforgettable experience. The King himself, The Tiger, awaits and beckons you at this glorious Pench Tiger Reserve.

Pench has a glorious history of natural wealth and unique cultural richness, a description on which can be read in several classics from Ain-e-Akbari to Kipling’s Jungle book . An open jeep will take you deep in to the forest to give you the real life Jungle Book experience. The largest concentration of herbivores in India is here in Pench. The animals to spot include the famous herds of Indian Bison, Sambar (antelope), Nilgai (Blue Bull), Chital (Spotted Deer) and packs of Golden jackals. Wild Boars, Wild Dogs and sometimes even Flying Squirrels. Also watch out for Black Bears, Jungle Cats and Jackals. The experts at the Pench Wildlife Safari have recorded a total of 260 different varieties of birds so keep an eye out for the Owls, Vulture , Ospreys , Herons, Kingfishers, Parakeets , Drangos, Kingfisher, Peacock amongst others. But the real excitement will begin once you hear that first roar of the Majestic Tiger.

Tigress Collarwali – Queen of Pench

Ever heard of a tigress with 30 cubs in her life time? Probably it's the first time in the history of wild that such a tigress is witnessed. It's a story of the famous super mom - Collarwali of the Pench.

In year 2000, a Tigress with three cubs, one male and two female, was seen in the Tarai area of kalapahad, Pench. Nobody knew that this tigress in future will be known as the mother of all mothers in Pench. She was Badimada, who in year 2005 gave birth to the miraculous tigress, the famous collarwali, who is fondly known as Supermom of the Pench. She is the reason for thriving tiger population of the landscape, she is the reason for maintaining the beauty of these jungles, she is the reason why thousands of tourists are attracted to the park, and she is reason of our pride. She has given 8 litters till now, in total adding 30 cubs to the Pench Tiger Population.

The territory of CollarwaIi is kalapahad and the region around lantana of Alikatta. These areas are open for tourism, so tourists get to see her frequently. The territory of her sister is near the baghinnala region, so she got famous as *Baghinnala wali". She is also sighted frequently as her territory also falls in tourism zone
